I just got this email, I will relay it to you all:

For those of you managing global audiences, you’ll know that Patreon converts your tier prices to local currencies where supported to help your patrons feel more at home. In order to determine your tier prices for international patrons, we work from the Price Book detailed here.

When we rolled out patron multi-currency we committed to only updating our Price Book every 6-12 months or when large exchange rate fluctuations occur.

At this time, exchange rates have fluctuated above the 4.5% buffer we have in place to protect creators against these types of fluctuations. As a result, we’re taking steps to

adjust the Price Book rates accordingly, which will affect the tier prices that new patrons see.

We’re letting you know about this change a month in advance of making any changes, so there are no surprises. We will provide the exact rates closer to the date we change them, to provide you with the most current rates.

Nothing changes for your existing patrons. They’ll have the ability to opt into new pricing when they visit their Patreon account, but that choice is up to them.

Look out for an email from us in the coming weeks. In the meantime, you can read more about how tier prices are converted here, and get in touch with us here if you have questions.

Sounds like it could be stinky so I think if anyone is not impressed I’d recommend youtube memberships or subscribe star :/ I hope this isn’t a huge bummer sounds like it might be though. Sorry everyone!
